Amy Desmond, OD, FCOVD
Developmental Optometrist
Dr. Amy Desmond has developed her own practice in Lancaster, Pennsylvania as a developmental optometrist specializing in vision therapy and rehabilitation. She is involved in all areas of specialized pediatric care including the treatment of amblyopia, strabismus, learning related vision disorders, and vision disorders in head trauma and brain injury patients.
Dr. Desmond graduated as valedictorian from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University. She was awarded the Vision Development Award for outstanding knowledge and skills in behavioral optometry. She continued her training as a resident in Vision Therapy and Rehabilitation at EyeCare Professionals in New Jersey under the guidance of Dr. Barry Tannen. Dr. Desmond furthered her education by receiving a board certification in vision therapy and rehabilitation as a Fellow in the College of Optometrists in Vision Development (COVD).
Dr. Desmond has extensive experience with the treatment of pediatric and brain injury vision dysfunctions and is one of Central Pennsylvania’s only experts in vision training and rehabilitation. She resides in Lancaster county with her husband and two young daughters.
Dana R. Greiss, OD, FCOVD
Developmental Optometrist
Dr. Dana Greiss (formerly Webster) is a developmental optometrist who specializes in vision therapy and neuro-optometric vision rehabilitation as well as primary care optometry for patients of all ages. She has extensive experience in the evaluation and treatment of children with vision problems that affect academic performance. Dr. Greiss is also passionate about working with patients suffering from visual dysfunctions following traumatic brain injuries.
Dr. Greiss grew up in Elizabethtown, PA and attended Elizabethtown Area High School where she graduated valedictorian of her class. Her studies continued at the Schreyer Honors College at the Pennsylvania State University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Biobehavioral Health, graduating with high honors. Dr. Greiss then attended optometry school at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry (PCO) at Salus University where she graduated as valedictorian of her class. She was awarded the College of Optometrists in Vision Development Award for outstanding knowledge and skills in behavioral optometry. Dr. Greiss was also active in the Student Optometric Service to Humanity (SOSH), a volunteer organization which completed a week-long mission trip to Belize to provide free eye exams and glasses to those in need. She continued her optometric training as a resident in Vision Therapy and Rehabilitation at EyeCare Professionals in New Jersey under the guidance of Dr. Barry Tannen and Dr. Nicholas Despotidis, well-known leaders in the field. In 2015, Dr. Greiss became board certified in the areas of vision therapy and vision rehabilitation by earning her Fellowship in the College of Optometrists in Vision Development. She is a member of both the Pennsylvania Optometric Association and College of Optometrists in Vision Development.
Dr. Greiss is excited to be back in Lancaster County with her husband and young sons. She spent the last six years building a successful vision therapy and rehabilitation program at a private practice in the Annapolis area. While in Maryland, Dr. Greiss managed a team of vision therapists and improved the lives of many patients. She finds it very rewarding to be able to see the progress and maintained improvement that her vision therapy patients achieve.
Jo Anne Stewart, COVT
Certified Optometric Vision Therapist
Jo Anne’s interest in teaching and working with children led her to pursue a career in vision therapy more than fifteen years ago. In 2014 she brought her skills and expertise as a therapist to Pursuit Vision Therapy. Her years of experience, research, and understanding have allowed her to become a nationally Certified Vision Therapist.
With the goal of seeing patients succeed and thrive, Jo Anne enjoys providing therapy in our office for both children and adults. Her kind and compassionate personality provides great benefits for the success of our patients.
Jo Anne lives among the farms of southern Lancaster County with her husband and teenage daughter. In her free time she enjoys spending quality time with her family, homeschooling her daughter and teaching Sunday
School.
Holly Lake, Vision Therapist
Holly's passion for helping others has led her to choose a career in Vision Therapy. She has a degree in psychology and has worked in the past with the local school systems in a non-verbal autistic classroom setting, learning about behaviors, therapies and non-verbal
communication. Her patience, understanding and gracious personality make her a perfect fit for Pursuit Vision Therapy. Holly feels she is not here just to make a living, she is here to make a difference.
Holly currently resides in Mountville with her husband and two children, a daughter and a son. In her free time she home schools her son, supports her children's extracurricular activities, inspires healthy living, volunteers at church and enjoys spending time with friends and family.
Holly Binderup, Receptionist
Holly is new to the field of vision therapy and is enjoying learning about the amazing results achieved by determined patients together with the team of therapists and doctors at DVT. She loves meeting new people and hearing how their therapy is progressing and changing their lives.
As a graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology, she owns and operates a commercial soft goods design and development business, creating product samples for global companies. Together with her husband, Holly has co-owned several businesses and brings her knowledge of bookkeeping to DVT. She likes the front office organized!
Holly has two grown daughters and lives in Northern Lancaster County with her husband and four (yes, 4!) dogs. She volunteers with NAMI Lancaster (National Alliance on Mental Illness) and is active with her beloved church family.
